Running Accomplishments:

Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

Got up to run today and it was overcast and a little cool. Wasn't much in the mood to get out there but after pushing through, I'm really glad I did. I did a four mile loop that I normally don't love but it felt really great and was one of my better runs in the last couple of weeks

Welcome to the blog! Congrats on getting back into it. I stated using the blog in March of 06' and have found it way helpful in my training. It's hard to take a day off when you know everyone is reading what your doing all the time. Keep up the good work and I'll check on you every day.

We'll be in Vegas the rest of the week. Mik'L is doing some work for her dad and I'm going to go check out the pool and lots of room service.

Hey Michelle! Clyde told me you are on the blog now! That will be fun. He (and Susan mentioned you had called for my email address) said you tried emailing me, but I never got anything. Let me know if you still need it. You should run the Hobblecreek Half in August with us! I bet you are faster than me, so no worries!

Good job overcoming the mood issue. Inability to run through bad/non-running mood is the obstacle number one for a beginning runner, and I believe the very reason the average marathon finish time is only somewhere around 4:45 rather than 3:30, which is what it would be if the exact same group of runners learned how to run through not feeling like running.

So I'm going to give it a try. Any helpful suggestions would be very welcome. So it sounds like you did awesome in Boston thats great! I don't know what family line you got your running jeans from but I'd like to cash in!
