Did a half a few years ago, unsure of my time but nothing to write home about. I trained about 6 months and then took about 2yrs. off. Started running again this year but have never done anything serious.

Short-Term Running Goals:

keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get my mileage back up and run pain free!

I worked last night and thought I might get home and run, but I got sucked into my bed in passing. So I planned to run tonight when things cooled off, but realized I had another conflict... so that left me with plan C my treadmill this afternoon. Not my favorite, but got it done. I took a portable DVD player, and watched the beginning of a movie, that held my attention for a while but I only managed to go 3 miles. I had hoped for a better week than I've had so far, but since I've diagnosed myself with a little case of bursitis maybe it's better that I take it easy. Hopefully with ice and ibuprofen it will settle down quickly. I have no patients for such incoveniences!!!!

I guess all Mizuno's are Waves, it's the technology they use, so there should be another name. Maybe Wave Rider or something like that? They are $84 but he said he would give us a deal. Clyde is thinking maybe we can get a couple different pair and bring them up so you can try them on, but we'll see if that works out. So just let me know and I will pick them up and then we can pay for them and you can just pay us back-that's not a problem. By the way, I think you are doing pretty good on miles!

Good job Michelle, and thanks for the advice! Sleep is good--you are right. I've conculted a nurse now, so that should make a difference... : )

Sorry about your bursitis! That's a hip thing, right?
