keep running, stay fit and healthy, while having fun. Would like to get my mileage up to 25 miles a week and plan some short races when I get confident with my speed.

We were staying out of town for a family reunion but managed to squeeze in a run! Found a whole wheel line of sprinklers along the road to run through coming and going, it felt nice. Also nice to run in some new ter ritory, and get some new scenery!

How fun to see a picture! "Fartlek" just means "speed play" in some foreign language (I read that somewhere). When I do a fartlek, I'm just jogging along, then I decide to run as fast as I can from this tree to the fire hyrant up there etc. Then you keep jogging and do it again whenever you feel like it. In high school cross country, we all ran in a big line, one after another, and whoever was in back had to sprint to the front of the line. So someone was always sprinting. It's kind of fun just using the different speed to break up the run. Your legs get used to running a little faster, I think.

Cute picture! Your cruise sounds like it was awesome. Good job running while on vacation again- you sound like me- always on the go! I do have one leg longer than the other so I don't think you're crazy to think that you do. My right leg is a little shorter (I found out in grade school during scoliosis testing, I don't have scoliosis, but they thought I did because my one leg is 1/4 inch shorter and caused my spine to curve) Anyway, because of that I roll my left food weird to compensate the length. I'm probably really making myself sound like a freakshow- these are things you wouldn't know just by looking at me-hee hee. I just had to buy better stability shoes so I don't roll as much. Good luck figuring it out. Just listen to your body!
