2 miles on the DREADmill and then some weights. I get caught off gaurd latley with how early it's getting dark out. By the time we had FHE and then ran to walmart it was really dark, not to mention really blowing and raining. So last option was to stay in.....yuck!

Yes there was a.1 mile on the end and I'll take credit for it all!!! Came up with every excuse in the house to put off my run this moring, but I prevailed and got it done early. I'm sure it would have happened but it wouldn't have been as long and it would have ruined my morning nagging and feeling guilty about it. One of the reasons that I wanted to run later is to get some cleaning done. The other night and the past few days some of the girls I work with have been telling me about the lady they have come and clean their homes. One girl just started having someone come and went on and on about how they did such a great job and this and that they cleaned the llight fixtures the trash cans and everything in between, yada yada yada..... so I at first was a llittle jealous and then just decided I wanted my house to feel like that, so I went to town yesterday! When my husband got home last night he very calmly after about a half hour or so asked me to step away from the sink and put the rag down!! But what I did get done felt so good that I'm ready to get after it again today. Who needs a maid when I can get motivation from someone who has one and save my money for something much funner!!! The disclamer here is that I'm not a slob and really had a clean house to begin with but I am loving the extra push to get some things done that I don't routinely do. So now I'm going to check my temperature with that said because I just admitted that I would rather stay home and clean than get out and run? Oh and I've decided to take the plunge. No more sugar or white flour untill Sat. I know it's not much of a commitment but maybe it will lead to bigger things.

Callzee and I did another mile before I got ready for work when she got home for school.  Tonight should be the BIG test as far as the food goes.  There is no where worse than a hospital at night for temptation and snacks to derail my plan!  So here I go!

I should have gone when I got home from work as I met my husband headed out the door!!!! But I went to bed instead. I didn't want to end up on the treadmill like I did Monday night so I headed out this afternoon. It was a LITTLE windy from my window but decided to get it done. First off it was windy and much warmer than I thought. Felt a little distracted by this but the wind changed from a head wind, tailwind, sideways wind, crazywind ect. as I turned on different roads. I thought I was doing o.k. inspite of it. The last mile that I was so looking forward to because it has a section of downhill in it and is always a nice break turned into a disaster. STRAIGHT ON HEADWIND ! I could feel my ponytail sticking straight out in back and knew if someone would have grabbed the back, it would have for sure created a treadmill effect. ( I'm sure that could have been entertaining :) ! ) Most of the time I could not hear my music in my own ears, just and occasional base note. But I did endure, I came to an intersection with a truck, I should have stopped and let him go, but was sure if I did I would have never got going again! Well I did make it home to find my average pace to be 10:00 per mile. no that's no record but I was sure it was much worse.

Last night I survived quite well on no processed sugar and no white flour. This account is more for my own bennefit but I ate a salad from Subway with all the veggies with some meat and cheese and then snacked on dried apples and homemade wheat bread with honey, and homemade bannana bread. I think I may have put a cup of white flour in the bananna bread, but it's now gone and I'm not going to sweat over that. I also went to the health food store before work and picked up some cookies, they are a mint looking oreo things that are made with wheat flour and evaporated cane juice but I haven't opened them yet because they look like they are cheating. I am also thinking about making pizza for dinner. If I make a whole wheat crust and then use tomatoe paste with my own spices and then veggie and cheese toppings, even ham or something that wouldn't be illegal would it? Well I do have to feed the kids and although they can bennefit from this as much as me, but I'm tired from a night shift and a hard run, I don't think I could handle an open REVOLT in the kitchen at dinner! Not to mention that 2 days of intense cleaning met with mom out of the house for one night and I can hardley find the kiitchen counter.... But I would like to say that I did encounter much enticement at work. The kitchen left chocolate brownies with marshmellow on top with M&M's in the middle and this pudding that was chocolate, vanilla whip cream layers with broken Reeses on top. Not to mention the usual chips and other things lurking around! Well I've rambled on long enough off to violin/ piano lessons and then to make pizza.... unless someone tells me it's cheating then I guess were eating oatmeal!!

1 easy mile with Callzee tonight, slight breeze that felt good but no wind! (maybe I should have waited?)

Ran my car to Big O to get an alignment and oil change and then left from there. The wind had already started it was coming out of the west and most of my run was north to south so other than annoying it wasn't too bad. Didn't feel particularly energized this morning but maybe it was my afternoon run and evening with Callzee coming off the nightshift thing. But maybe my body is going through sugar withdrawls and punishing mr too. I'm sure it takes a minute to adjust. But once it does if I can catch some speed like Lybi did then that would be great! I won't get my hopes up to much though. So far I think I'm planning to stay the night Friday, so one way or the other I'll do some kinda run on Sat. mornng before the marathon. Anyone in? It might be short due to time but worth a try.

Just me and the treadmill today. When I got up the wind was already at it, and by the time the kids were off it was blowing hard. Couldn't make myself face that, so I headed to the treadmill. I always dislike it also but I had to get it done. I got creative because by 2 miles I was ready to quit, so at 2.4 I jumped off and did a set of 25 abs on the ball, did another mile and then did abs and triceps on the ball and then finished for a total of 4 miles. Also to see the distance on the tracker go by faster ( because without a t.v.dowm there I can't seem to look away from the digital screen of how far I've gone) I did some sprints too. Probably not the best Idea but I would crank it as fast as I could go untill I couldn't do it any more and then down 3-4 times.

Well I made it through the week without any refined sugar or white flour. I must say that it wasn't very hard either. And I must be the worlds biggest "Treat" lover too. I love ice cream, candy, brownies all of it! I love it!!! I am at the point last night that I ran to a grocery store that has a home made bakery, and as I walked passed the mint/chocolate brownies, and yummy stuff it looked good but thought I could take it or leave it. I'm sure it tastes good but I really don't crave it! I'm sure I won't be a 100% this weekend but from here on out I'm going to keep trying to keep my diet more in that direction. It's been a fun experiment that I have learned a lot from!

Met with Mik'l and Lybi at 5:00 before the marathon for a run.  We set up blankets first and then went up the marathon coarse a little and then back.  I must say running with someone else and talking and visiting sure makes the miles go by fast!  I loved being able to run with them.  (Sure is going to make Mondays run boring!)

As for the marathon, it was the first time I have ever watched one and it was a lot of fun!  Great to see all of the bloggers come in.  Some we could identify and some were just to darn fast and just bluuuurrrd on by!  It was very inspiring to see the final product of everyones hard work after reading about it over the past few months.  Great to see so many PR's and the OTQ's were incredible!  The party Friday night was great too!  Fun to meet some of you, and now have faces for names.  I think now I may attempt a half marathon this spring and would love to have as many that would like to join me in March down in moab do so!
